Leasing vehicles has gained much popularity over the past five to ten years.
Over this period of time there has been a "learning curve" for many people who lease vehicles. The learning curve is in regard to the maintenance of their
leased vehicle. the hard lesson occurs when the vehicle is turned in at the end of the lease. During the lease period (if the vehicle is not properly maintained),
the leasing company is legally allowed to charge back the customer for repairs needed to get the vehicle back in good working condition. Phrases in the lease agreement such as
"must return vehicle with all parts and accessories in good working order", and "Your must pay us the costs of all repairs to the vehicle that are not the result
of normal wear and use, whether or not the vehicle is repaired" allow for this additional charge at the end of the lease. Lease agreement also will state that
"You are responsible for maintaining the vehicle in good order and conditions. You must pay all servicing expenses including gasoline, oil, tires, and expenses
of maintenance and repair. You must have the vehicle serviced in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations" and "You will also keep the complete maintenance records and return them with the vehicle."
We at Zap Lube want to remind our customers to keep their leased vehicles properly maintained and to follow the manufacturer's service recommendations.
Also, Zap Lube will be happy to provide our customers with a copy of their complete maintenance records (which you can hand in with your vehicle at the end of the lease.)
Please be sure to review your lease agreement and pay close attention to vehicle servicing information. Leasing a new vehicle should be a pleasant experience without unpleasant surprises!!!
